Brooklyn comes for a visit

Our 4 (and very nearly 5) grandchildren have become a real joy in our lives.  Sheryl and I have often remarked how nice it is to live in Corvallis where we are close enough to get involved in so many of their activities.  It's always fun to have a weekend with just one, so we can spend so much time together.  This time it was Brooklyn who came for a visit.  She is Andy and Madri's middle child and is a very energetic 6 year old.  A year ago Brooks was only mildly interested in soccer, but she has become a VERY fast runner and has learned to break away with the ball and this week scored 3 goals before heading home with us. She LOVES to play games and here she is whuppin' me good.  Sometimes I win but not often.
It seems that we have a Swedish grandmother (Sheryl Rosvall Van Fleet is a pure Swede -100%) who lives here and on Sunday morning we had a lesson in how to build Swedish pancakes. Her apprentice was very attentive and produced some beautiful breakfast delights.

This time of year our yard is brimming with flowers and Brooks always wants to pick a bunch for us and arrange a bouquet which colorfully cheers up the house.
 Games, Games, Games.
If the weather is nice we usually have an energy burning visit to the local park where we play tag, hide and seek, swing or climb the wall.
